Care Instructions
Caring for Natural Fibres - Always handle with care.
Alpaca, mohair and wool is naturally stain-resistant and also resistant to body odours. To freshen the garment, air it out flat in the sun regularly. Minimise washing or fully soaking the garment as this will risk stretching the garment and even felting the fibre.
Storing
Fold your hand-knitted pieces rather than on a hanger. Folding will reduce the chances of it stretching out of shape.
Washing
We recommend spot washing to reduce drying time and risk of stretching the garment. Only completely soak if necessarily. DO NOT WASH IN MACHINE.
To wash, immerse your garment in cool water using a natural wool detergent and soak for approximately 5 minutes. Agitate very gently by hand. Rinse in cool water.
Drying
Use a towel to soak up excess water. Reshape and lay flat to dry.
DO NOT TUMBLE DRY, DO NOT DRY CLEAN.
Airing
To remove odours or freshen the garment up, air it out flat in the sun. Do not hang. Air frequently to reduce washing frequency.
General Care
Wool has a tendency to pill, it is not a defect, but rather a natural result of friction. Carefully pull the pilling away from garment and cut off with a pair of scissors.
Because your cardigan is totally handcrafted with natural fibres some imperfections may occur. Please enjoy the individuality and uniqueness of your piece.
